2. Andes- of Incakruis dat een reflectie geeft van 3 werelden.  

Het trapvormig kruis is gemaakt in de vorm van een kruis met gelijke armen die verwijzen naar kardinale punten van de windrichtingen (het kompas) en een vierkant dat verwijst naar de twee andere bestaansniveaus. 

De drie bestaansniveaus zijn: 

Hanaq Pacha - de bovenwereld waar de superieure goden verblijven,de lucht, hemel 

Kay Pacha - de midden - / fysieke - / materiële wereld waar wij verblijven,huidig tijdperk 

Ucu / Urin Pacha - de onderwereld waar de geesten van de dood, de voorouders en andere entiteiten hecht contact met de aarde onderhouden, innerlijke wereld, plaats waar intuïtie en dromen komen. 

Het gat in het midden van het kruis is de as waardoor de sjamaan het kosmische verplaatst naar de andere niveaus.  Inca’s gebruikte de verhoudingen van dit kruis in bouwwerken, sieraden en als medicijnwiel.  

Voor de inheemse volkeren zijn wij allemaal een vonk (een Spirit) van de Grote Spirit, net als de dieren, planten en stenen. Ons fysieke lichaam is het vervoermiddel van onze Spirit, om zo ervaringen op te doen waar lessen uit geleerd kunnen worden, om steeds wijzer te worden en het Medicijnwiel helpt hierbij.

 Deze levenswijze wordt door bijv. de Indianen de "Medicine way" genoemd. De cirkel kent diverse wegen, de weg die je volgt door je Spirit te volgen wordt de "Red way" genoemd of de "Beauty way". Dit is niet de makkelijkste weg, en daarom zullen veel mensen kiezen voor de zogenaamde sluiproutes, de Indianen noemen dit het pad van het vlees, omdat daar alleen de tastbare dingen belangrijk zijn. Voor de sjamaan heeft het woord medicijn een heel andere betekenis dan die van de westerse wereld. Het betekent een krachtige energie waar je onbeperkt gebruik van kunt maken, het betekent ook hogere kennis en wijsheid. Dus het Medicijnwiel kun je omschrijven als de cirkel van kennis die kracht geeft en alles omvattend is.  

De kringloop van het levenHet medicijnwiel symboliseert de kringloop van het leven en de schepping. De 36 stenen hebben hun eigen plek en betekenis in het wiel. Het medicijnwiel zoals we het hier weergegeven, is grotendeels gebaseerd op de beschrijving van Kenneth Meadows ('Flying Horse'). Maar andere volkeren hebben afwijkende medicijnwielen.  

RitueelHet leggen van een medicijnwiel is een ritueel wat van die plaats een 'krachtplek' maakt. De cirkel is heilig en mag alleen via de paden van de vier windstreken worden betreden.   

Hoe leg je een medicijnwiel

 In het midden ligt de 'Creator'. Daaromheen liggen 7 stenen, je begint altijd in het oosten en gaat met de klok mee. De 1e steen is moeder Aarde, dan vader Zon, grootmoeder Maan, en de vier elementen: aarde (Schilpad-clan), water (Kikker-clan), vuur (Havik-clan) en lucht (Vlinder-clan). In de buitenste cirkel liggen 4 stenen die de specifieke natuurkrachten van de 4 windrichtingen vertegenwoordigen en de 12 stenen voor ieder dierenriemteken.De stenen van de 4 windrichtingen verbinden de buitenste met de binnenste cirkel. Ieder van de 12 totemdierstenen op de buitenste cirkel vertegenwoordigt een specifieke kwaliteit van het leven.  

Geen begin en geen eind

De westerse denkwijze dat elk begin een einde heeft bestaat voor de Indianen niet, voor hen is het leven en alles daar omheen een proces van doorlopende veranderingen. Het aardse leven wordt gesymboliseerd door de cirkel die begint in het oosten van het medicijnwiel. Hier krijgt de Spirit een fysiek lichaam, de geboorte van een kind. Het oosten heeft een gele kleur, de kleur van de opkomende zon en van verlichting. Het kind groeit op en komt als puber terecht in het zuiden. De kleur van het zuiden is rood, de kleur van levensenergie en bloed. De weg gaat verder naar het westen tot in de volwassenheid. Hier is de kleur zwart, de kleur van de vormeloosheid waaruit alle vorm voortkomt.

Vervolgens komen we in het noorden waar men de ouderdom tegemoet gaat, de kleur is hier wit, de kleur van het licht. Van hieruit gaan we weer in het oosten waar het lichaam weer teruggegeven word aan de aarde. De cirkel begint opnieuw.

The 12 Sacred Energies of the Inca Cross

The Sacred Energy of Moving Forward and Focusing on the Future ~ This gift will help you fulfill and complete contracts in the past that have begun, but are not finished.
